It pains me to say that The Nerdlinger (that is, the red truck with the canopy attached) is no longer. She died the week before Christmas, 2011, and I traded her in. Boy, this makes me profoundly sad in direct proportion to how profoundly the smiles of others raised my spirits. The Nerdlinger almost never failed to provoke smiles, pointing, laughter, pictures taken on the road and in parking lots. That is all gone now, though the box is in my yard to be either gifted as a chicken coop or a little boy’s playhouse. Not too bad …
Sad to see it go. The chicken coop may produce some psychoactive eggs, though.
