The Pizza Guy is DONE and AVAILABLE

The Pizza Guy #s 6 & 7 on ComiXology

The above is the special link ComiXology provides.  I have combined the last two issues of the story, #s 6 & 7, into one giant 51 page volume.  It includes a teaser of “Slate Shale in Oro Loco” (one shot Western genre comic, though technically a sequel to an old and unprinted comic by Sam Battin and myself.)

So, you can get it digitally on cmX or on DriveThruComics as a double issue, or you can order print versions via email from me.  The print versions are separate issues (6 and 7), for ease of printing, etc.  I have included the cover images from the print versions below.

TPG07 cover for my website

The print version of TPG#6 has a preview of Slate Shale, alike the digital double issue,  and the print verision of TPG#7 has a preview of Spaceman Greg & The Cosmic Otter; Alternate Universe.  Alternate, that is, to the comic strip SG&CO in the issue of TPG#5 by me and Louis Delgiacco, Esq.

So, The Pizza Guy is done after almost 20 years, for most of which the unfinished story was a gadfly on the sow’s ass of my brain.  I plan to bundle it up into a single graphic novel at some point in the next year.  But really, I am so done with it, and have already moved on to my next projects.

I’ll tell you what those are when I have something to show.  For now, have a looksie on my instagram and my tumblr

Thanks for you patronage, lo these many years.

Still alive and working: The Pizza Guy finale (6 & 7 combined issue) and RedBubble page

Hello,

First, TPG 6 is done, but I’m bundling it with #7 (the final issue) for a massive 50 page ending to be sold on ComiXology and Drivethrucomics.  And eventually to be released as a graphic novel on Amazon.  I’ve been a bit slow on finishing as I moved, traveled a bit, and went to a 10 day vipassana retreat (essay about that coming soon on this blog) – all of which hobbled me a bit.  Nevertheless! I am in the home stretch.

I opened up a RedBubble page of original work: here.  It’s like Cafe Press but less shitty.

Keep on truckin;, y’all!

Another Humdinger: Procrastination

Another opinion piece from The New York Times:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/18/opinion/why-do-anything.html

This above strikes me as timely, despite a close friend describing me today as “never idle.”  That’s NOT how I seem to me.  Yet I am reminded of the advice from The Artists’ Way, that creative work demands we allow space for absorption and synthesis – what anxious capitalist parents and friends may call idleness.  I try to be of a piece with the former notion and allow myself spacetime to shape whatever it is that I am immanently shaping.  When I do pick up the pen, and drop the image of idleness behind limning hand movements, I wonder if I could have picked up that pen sooner than I had and still produce something satisfying.  There is nothing testable here.

I am hard at work on TPG #5, and expect TPG #4 to drop on ComiXology.com any day now.
